The town is famous for its impressive rocky landscape, historical sights, and diverse leisure opportunities. A special highlight is Pottenstein Castle, which sits on a rock above the town. It dates back to the 11th century and offers a magnificent view of the surroundings. You can visit the castle and learn more about its fascinating history. Pottenstein also captivates with a charming landscape featuring numerous hiking and cycling trails, such as the Püttlachtal, the Klumpertal, and the Pottensteiner Höhenweg with the Himmelsleiter observation tower.
