Viadelmare Apartment is on the first floor of a striking modern residence in central Monopoli, just 200m from the sea. The apartment sleeps up to 6 people and makes an ideal base for friends or family who want to explore this fascinating, ancient port and the stunning Puglian countryside nearby.

The apartment is light and airy, with contemporary décor. The owners have taken great care to create a relaxing, comfortable environment. The L-shaped living area and kitchen have wooden floors throughout. The living room includes a dining table and chairs for 6. The modern kitchen is well-equipped, with an induction hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine and fridge/freezer.

Glass doors lead out onto the spacious balcony which is an extension of the living space, as it is furnished with armchairs and a coffee table, so guests can enjoy drinks al fresco.

Bedroom 1: This light-filled bedroom has a double bed and extensive wardrobes.
Bedroom 2: A cosy bedroom with a double bed and a wardrobe.
Extra: The sofa in the dining area converts into a comfortable double bed.

Bathrooms
The apartment has 2 bathrooms. One has a large bathtub and the second has a shower. Both are appointed with a basin, bidet and a WC.

Location
The apartment is in an excellent location, just a 5-minute walk from the historic centre of Monopoli and a 4-minute walk from the beach, Spiaggia Cala. Monopoli is one of Italy’s hidden gems. Known for its lively bars and nightlife, the town’s cathedral and the Castello di Carlo are also worth visiting. For self-catering Monopoli’s vibrant, weekly market (Tuesday and Saturday mornings from 7.30am) is the best place to pick up delicious local produce to cook at home.


Alberobello, (30 minutes) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as one of the centres of Italy’s Slow Food Movement. The town is a must-see. It is famous for its traditional Trulli houses and excellent restaurants.

All along this stretch of coast, visitors will find some of Italy’s most beautiful beaches. North of Monopoli is Polignano a Mare (17 minutes) which offers excellent snorkelling in its clear waters.

For history lovers, the archaeological museum at Egnazi (17 minutes) offers a fascinating glimpse into Puglia’s interesting past.

The closest airport is at Bari, a 50-minute drive from the apartment.
