Cottage

Eleanor’s Stone Cottage is a recently renovated, private, stone house in the beautiful village of Lafkos (south Pelion).
It has two floors with a private outside spaces.
On the ground floor there is a separate kitchen and a bedroom.
The bedroom has a window and is the coolest place in the house during summers. The window has a mosquito net and the window is protected with iron bars. This bedroom is suitable for kids, but two adults could also comfortably sleep there. The bedroom contains two wooden beds (90x200) with pocket spring mattresses.
At split level there is a bathroom with a spacious shower and toilet. The bathroom is accessible from the ground floor of the house.
On the first floor there is an open living space with a queen size bed (160x210, pocket spring mattress and a memory foam topper).
The first floor is spacious, airy and light. Light can be blocked by closing the shutters.
From the two windows facing West, you can enjoy wonderful views towards the ‘Pagasitikos Bay’.
Part of the furniture in the house is made by a local artist with olive and antique chestnut wood.
There is no airconditioner as the stone house, if treated correctly, does not require this under normal Pelion conditions. Lafkos in particular, due to its location on top of a hillside, enjoys a fresh breeze on most summerdays.
Parking is possible at 150-200 metres walking distance, as like most houses in Lafkos, the house is located in a uniquely pedestrian area.
In the period of Oktober - May the two (French) cast iron wood stoves can be used.

Not included in the price:
The Greek government recently introduced “ Climate Crisis Resilience Tax” which is 10 euro per night (irrespective of the number of people) in the period of March - October and 4 euro per night in the months November - February. This amount must be paid in cash on site (to be checked with Vrbo).
