Private vacation home
About This Property
This house was built in the late 18th century as the country house of a noble corfiote family. It used to stand alone in the middle of the family's lands. This is why the house still has, on the front and the rear, firing of the walls. The ground floor was used as oil, corn and wine. This food stock saved a lot of people from famine during WWII. The Boua family is mentioned in the "Libro d'Oro" (The Golden Book) among the families having the right to pass from Liston. This is the arcade passage of the main corfu esplanade, where only a few families were allowed to use. The family still has its own family (coat of arms).
