Getting around & location

Île d’Aix is car-free, so everything is done on foot or by bike, and the villa is easy to reach from the ferry dock. Conciergerie Patard will be available before and throughout your stay.

Villa Kallisté is located on Île d’Aix, a protected gem off the Charente-Maritime coast, accessible only by boat from Fouras. This small, vehicle-free island offers a rare mix of sandy beaches, natural coves, pine forest, bike paths, and rich heritage.

You’ll find a few local essentials (grocery store, restaurants, and a seasonal market), plus beautiful coastal trails ideal for walking and cycling. The atmosphere is quiet, restorative, and wonderfully unhurried.
