## Emplacement
A distinct identity, a renowned seaside resort, Le Barcaris has everything to seduce. Surrounded by a pond and the sea, this strip of land was abandoned until the seventeenth century. It was then that a fishing village settled there and a few decades later, Le Barcaris has an important fishing port, and even shipyards where the famous Catalan boat is built. In the 60s, real estate developers put a low hand on the coast and made Barcars a famous seaside resort with the symbol Le Lydia, stranded on its beaches. This liner, today converted into a museum, disco and restaurant, is the fourth oldest liner in existence in the world.
