## Emplacement
Olive trees, palm trees and cypresses form the surrounding landscape of Cagnes-sur-Mer, a tourist town in the Alpes-Maritimes. Situated on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, not far from Saint-Laurent-du-Var, the town stretches along a beach nearly four kilometers long and is surrounded by beautiful hills.
In the early 1970s, this former fishing village became a popular and dynamic seaside resort, thanks in particular to its beach, Cros-de-Cagnes. Today, the town is a perfect blend of tradition and modernity, with its medieval village, numerous monuments and water sports and cultural activities.
Cagnes-sur-Mer was awarded first prize in the Concours des Entrées de Ville, a national competition for town entrances, and boasts an exceptional natural environment with a focus on greenery and aesthetics. It's not for nothing that many painters in their day chose the town as their home. Its luminosity, atmosphere and undeniable charm have always attracted artists from all over the world.
