Residence: 10 minutes' drive from the sea and the beaches of Benodet, 2 km from the historical town center of Quimper, in a botanical park of 90 acres, on the banks of the river Odet, ancient residence of Cornwall's bishops, l'Orangerie de Lanniron and its gardens will offer you a multitude of sport and leisure activities (canoe, fishing, bicycle rides, walks, golf, surfing, sailing...).It will be an ideal place to stay and to discover Brittany and its numerous sightseeing venues, culture, ancient monuments and folklore. Your first stop should be at the Reception Desk : our hostesses will give you our 'Bienvenue Brochure', a perfect guide for your stay at Lanniron. You will find here every information you would need about your stay, the campsite or the area (museums to be visited, sports, activities, fairs...) A kids club welcome every child from 4 in July and August from Monday to friday (10 am to 12). We also organize tournaments for older children. The laundry is open every day, tokens are for sale at the reception. 4 washing machines and 2 dryers, washing powder, iron are available. The shop opens every days and propose you bread, 'croissants' and 'pain au chocolat' prepared in our kitchen. You can also find local products (cidre, breton cakes...), canned food, hygienic goods... We sale take away meals (chicken, chips, frites, sandwiches...). Bicycles, small cars, tennis and table tennis rackets are available for rent. The bar welcomes you every day. You can have a drink inside or outside. Some parties arre organized like concerts, games... Quimper, a town full of flowers, is the capital of Cornouaille, and is on the banks of the River Odet, main river in the Glazik area, 15 km from the coast. An ideal place to stay and a starting point for many excursions by land or sea. Quimper has a wealth of famous monuments, a cathedral and old quarters well worth visiting. Every age has left its mark on the town. What to visit: St Corentin Cathedral (XIIIth to XIXth-centuries). The old quarters : guided tour with official National Historical Monuments Fund guides. Breton Museum, Fine Arts Museum. Contemporary Arts Center 'Le Quartier'. Earthenware Factories. The Jules Verlingue Earthenware Museum. The bishop's palace garden and theatre garden. Locmaria Norman church, the well known pottery company HB HENRIOT. Nearby : Kerfeunteun, chapels of Ty Mam Doué, Kerdévot, the Stangala, the River Steir valley, Local events: 'Festival de Cornouaille' (from the 15th to the 23rd July 2006). Musical Weeks (1st three weeks in August). Brass instrument courses (end of August). Folklore evenings (every Thursday from end of June to beginning of September). The Odet River Lugger (on the Locamaria Allées quayside). River and sea trips. Cider cellar visits : tasting and sales direct from the vintner. The site is situated to the south of the town and is well-signposted off the new ringroad. The campground is near the bus stop for Quimper (500 m), 3 km away from the train station and 7 km from the Pluguffan airport. From the north : follow signs to Bénodet and Quimper Sud and then follow the signs “Creac'h Gwen” and “Camping”. As you get nearer to the site, follow signs to Camping Lanniron. From the N165 (E60) : follow the signs towards Quimper sud (Troyalac'h) and Pont l'Abbé. Once on the southern ringroad, you will pick up signs to Creac'h Gwen and the Lanniron campsite. Accommodation: This cottage is ideal for families : there are two bedrooms: on with a double bed (140 cm x 190 cm ) and one with two single beds (80 cm x 190 cm). TV on demand. There is also a sofa bed in the lounge for two people (130 cm x 190 cm). On a large sunny pitch, with terrace.
