The street Cardal de Sao Jose, narrow but still sunny (vis-a-vis degage), is very quiet, which is pleasant and rare in Lisbon.
The famous Avenida da Liberdade, the equivalent Lisboete of the Champs Elysee, is less than 2 minutes away.
You will find good and chic local restaurants, trendy luxury boutiques, and art galleries.
The metro station Avenida, located on Avenida da Liberdade is also less than 2 minutes from our apartment.
Descending the Avenida da Liberdade, you can admire, on both sides, the old quarters of the cite juches on their hills: Alfama, Mouraria, Graca, Chiado.
Our apartment is a 10 minute walk from Bairro Alto and Principe Real, and 15 minutes from São Jorge Castle and Praça do Comércio.
Bairro Alto is a picturesque old quarter well known for its bars, restaurants and trendy boutiques.
Principe Real is a gay-friendly area, with antique shops and galleries around the square of the same name and an open-air market full of traditional Portuguese products.
São Jorge Castle is surrounded by traditional Portuguese neighborhoods and is located on one of the seven hills of Lisbon.
From here you can enjoy the most beautiful views of the city and the Tagus River.
