Or explore the nearby towns of Trogir, Primošten, Šibenk, and Split. A whole series of national parks can be reached on day trips: Krka, Kornati, Paklenica, Plitvice Lakes, and Velebit. Adventurous types can hike the nearby Mosor and Velebit mountains and try a rafting trip on the Cetina River near Omis.
