Private vacation home
About This Property
Viewed from behind, the house appears somewhat angled. However, the interior follows a pleasantly clear structure. Even though the villa was built several years ago, it is not old junk! Moreover, it presents itself as a rustic jewel box with high-quality contents, the lower level of which is available to Mallorca holidaymakers (the upper level is not rented out). Cosy two-seaters and armchairs are distributed throughout the lounge, so you can be together without sitting on each other's laps. Another alternative is the spacious eat-in kitchen with sofa and second TV as well as the table, which is not only inviting at mealtimes: There's no arguing about the TV programme or the best grandstand seats. The four air-conditioned, cosy bedrooms are functionally furnished, the two modern interior bathrooms (one en-suite) are wonderfully equipped; they have a (corner) bathtub or shower and shine with lots of marble and sturdy wooden cabinets. In addition, as already mentioned, there are outdoor facilities so that everyone can refresh themselves at any time. Speaking of winning: Llum definitely deserves an award in the recommended holiday home category!
And the prize money is waiting to be spent! Every day you have the choice of which gem you prefer: Manacor or the sea, city or beach life, hitting the pavement or chilling out, whatever takes your fancy, based on what's in the fridge or the weather forecast. As one of the island's metropolises, Manacor has a lot to offer: Old patrician houses, palatial buildings such as the Torre dels Enagistes (tower of the Jesuits, now a museum) and old windmills compete with colourful weekly markets, the Majorica pearl factory and pedestrian zones for shopping, cafés and restaurants. Trains and buses take you in all directions from here, so travelling to Palma can be a relaxed affair. You won't miss the sun-drenched pearls of sand that dot the coastline... And if you really love your sport, you can keep in shape with a game of tennis or a bike ride at the nearby Rafal Nadal Sports Centre.
From the airport, the Ma-15 will take you to Manacor and Villa Llum with its sporting ambience. Close to the Ma-4015, it leads towards the east coast: Calas de Mallorca and the many famous bays and natural beaches in the direction of Porto Cristo or Portocolom can be reached in around 20 minutes by car. The furniture and pearl town of Manacor, one of the island's metropolises, is your first port of call for some more serious shopping, souvenir buying, wine tasting or a good meal. And the picture-book town of Artà is just over 20 kilometres away.
