Simple and clear – on the outside they are in the tradition of chalets for people who have been at home in the forest for centuries, with wood as a central construction element inside and out. The 87m2 provides space for your time out on the forest estate, suitable for two people. It has its own sauna in the bathroom, an outdoor bathing barrel on the roofed terrace for relaxing. The architecture based on valuable visual axes dissolves the boundary with the nearby forest. You can look out at nature from the sauna, the bedroom or the comfortable sofa – always sensing a proximity to the forest, the seasons, but still surrounded by an indoor space with a big kitchen, a crackling fire in the fireplace and cosy reading corners.

However, if you are looking for major action and a spectacle, then we have to disappoint you. At the forest estate you will experience only what is ‘homemade’ – nature determines the programme, along with your mood and creativity. Let yourself be inspired by a very normal holiday. Golf, walking, riding, cycling, archery, gathering mushrooms, observing animals, picking flowers, photographing, relaxing, enjoying, taking a deep breath, having fun, grilling, a picnic, badminton… simply being human. Ski resorts nearby: the two ski resorts Rusel and Geißkopf are 10-15 minutes away. The advantage for skiers is the introduction of electronic reading systems, so that a lift pass is valid for both resorts. The Geißkopf (1100m) ski resort with 6 lifts and 8 downhill pistes of various difficulty levels has 4 skiing and snowboarding schools, as well as a fun park and snow cannons. There is also night skiing at Geißkopf on the 1150m main piste three times a week, as well as at Rusel. It is 10 minutes to the 18-hole course at Deggendorf golf club on the high plain of Ruselpass at 840 metres, with a driving range and a 3-hole training course. The Oberzwieselau golf course is in a hilly park landscape about 20km away. The clubhouse with its terrace forms the centre of the championship course nestled into the landscape. The Bavarian Forest National Park is just 25km away. It was opened in 1970 as the first national park in Germany and is a unique forest and Mittelgebirge landscape on the border to the Czech Republic. It was extended in 1997and now comprises 24,000 hectares, with extensive forests developing largely without human influence, with undisturbed lifecycles. You can experience original nature here. It provides ideal conditions for exploring natural processes and knowledge.
