The cozy and sustainable wooden holiday home "Bergufer" is located at the bottom of the Kofel mountain and on the banks of the Ammer river. Architects and local craftsmen planned and built it between July 2023 and October 2024. The heat comes from the ground and the electricity from the roof. You can see the mountains from the garden or the balconies, and in winter the cross-country ski trail runs right outside the door along the river. There are 2 vacation apartments in the house (on the ground floor for up to 4 people, on the first floor for up to 7 people), a studio (for 1-2 people) and an additional double room (for 1-2 people) with a separate bathroom. This means that even larger groups can be comfortably accommodated here.
The 122 m² "Bergufer OG" holiday apartment with its own entrance consists of a light-flooded living, cooking and dining area (dining table for up to 10 people) with sofa corner, has a cozy wood-burning stove and impresses with a large window front with a view to the small Ammer river and the surrounding mountains. There is also a bedroom (double bed 1.60 x 2.00 m), a sofa room (sofa bed 1.60 x 2.00 m) and a spacious bathroom (with washing machine). A beautiful wooden staircase leads up to the open attic gallery, where there is another bedroom (double bed 1.60 x 2.00 m), an additional sofa bed (single bed) under one of the three skylights and a separate WC. Up here there is also plenty of space for working, playing games and table football.
The west-facing balcony is accessible from the living room and offers plenty of space for dining (beer table and chairs are available). Another balcony at roof gallery level invites you to daydream in a hammock.
The small sauna in the basement, which can be used by all guests, invites you to relax.
We are happy to provide a baby crib and high chair on request. There are parking spaces in front of the house and a charging station for electric cars in the carport. Of course, WLAN is available free of charge throughout the house.
Further important information: For overnight stays until August 31, 2026, the Königscard with all its offers is available to you free of charge. Starting from September 1, 2026, this will no longer be the case.
The "Bergufer" holiday home is centrally but quietly located on the edge of the center of Oberammergau. You can reach the town center with various sights, the tourist information office, the train station and many shopping opportunities in approximately 10 minutes on foot. A variety of restaurants are available for culinary vacation enjoyment. In addition, Oberammergau and the Ammergau Alps region offer you countless opportunities for cultural and sporting leisure activities at any time of year.
