Ferries to the North Sea islands of Amrum and Föhr, as well as the Halligen, leave from Dagebüll and Schlüttsiel (about 20 km and 25 km away). Other interesting destinations include Flensburg, Husum, the island of Rømø in nearby Denmark, and the towns of Tønder and Ribe. The famous Nolde Museum, with its annually changing exhibition and beautiful garden, is also worth a visit.
