Perhaps you'll even visit the small island by horse-drawn carriage. Cuxhaven offers many leisure activities: Visit the "Alte Liebe" lookout point, the fish market at the old fishing port, or the Kugelbake, Cuxhaven's landmark. Hike through the Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park, one of the last remaining natural landscapes in Europe to be declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Due to renovations, the leisure area (swimming pool and sauna) of the Residenz Hohe Lith will be closed from November 2025 to March 2026. Construction noise may be expected at times.
