At the foot of the Black Forest you will find relaxation, nature, farm atmosphere and many excursion destinations for the whole family. The vacation farm Vordere Alm is located on the outskirts of the small town Oberkirch in the Ortenaukreis, Baden Württemberg.

Our area is charmingly situated in the foothills of the Black Forest and invites both to walks in the vineyards and hikes on the heights of the Black Forest. On our farm we cultivate fruit growing close to nature on scattered orchards. Apples, pears and plums grow on our fields. We have part of the apples pressed into juice by a regional company. A farmer from the neighboring village uses our pastures from spring to fall for his young animals. Hiking: From the Vordere Alm vacation farm, you can set out on a hike on the Brennersteig trail, which provides many insights into the old Oberkirch tradition of distilling schnapps (circular route, approx. 14km), to the Geigerskopfturm tower (4km, easy trail), to the Schauenburg castle ruins with a fantastic view of the Rhine valley (approx. 4km), easy trail) or to the Moosturm tower, at 861 meters above sea level. The highest point of the Oberkirch district (approx. 10km, easy walk) The further surroundings: Exciting insights into the former life of the Black Forest can be found in the open-air museum Vogtsbauernhöfe in Gutach/Kinzigtal (approx. 60km or by public transport). For all guests of our house there is a communal washing machine in the hallway. A washing rack is available in each apartment.

A first aid kit, board games and books (also for children) are also available.



A high chair and baby crib is available in each apartment. Please note that baby sleeping bags are not provided.

It is valid as a free ticket for buses and trains in the Black Forest vacation region, from Pforzheim to Basel, Karlsruhe to Waldshut, crisscrossing nine transport associations - as often as you like during your vacation and completely free of charge! So no one has to worry about fare and tickets.
