In the Hassefelder Waldseebad you can cool off during the warm summer months, while in winter you can explore the fairytale winter world of the Harz on a hike. The climatic health resort of Hasselfelde is located in the middle of the High Harz. A real, small attraction is a ride on the Selketalbahn, which has its own station in the town and is part of the Harz narrow-gauge railway transport association. In the region around Hasselfelde there are numerous museums and show mines that provide cultural variety.
