The charm of its canals, its islands and its bridges have earned Martigues the nickname Venice of Provence. Visit the beautiful beach of La Couronne and be charmed by the small port of Carro. Take the time to stroll along the quays, especially in the fishing district around the Saint-Sébastien canal. This district is called the Mirror of the Birds, the colorful houses nestled at the edge of the water are the original 17th century fishermen's houses and have inspired many painters. From here you can reach the worth seeing cities Arles, Marseille and Aix en Provence as well as the blue coast famous for its bays, the Alpilles massif and the Camargue.
