The Hotel zum Roten Bären with the Baden restaurant is located in the old town of Freiburg and is the oldest inn in Germany. Despite its central location in the city center, the hotel is an oasis of calm, as it is located behind thick, medieval walls. Your city vacation in Freiburg will be a relaxing vacation. The 'Red Bear' has been hosting guests in Freiburg for 700 years. In 25 rooms, including 14 double rooms, 8 single rooms and 3 suites, some of which face the quiet inner gardens and some of Freiburg's Oberlinden square, we offer our guests tradition, atmosphere and cosiness, combined with the amenities and comfort of the present. The region spoils our restaurant in the old town of Freiburg with excellent products from agriculture, hunting and the vineyards. As a conference hotel in the center of Freiburg, we provide equipment and rooms, as well as meals and accommodation. It is a pleasure for us to be your host in the center of Freiburg.
The rooms with a size of 22sqm are located on the second and third floors in the main building and are comfortably equipped with shower and toilet, cable TV, radio, direct dial telephone, as well as a sofa or an additional armchair. These rooms either overlook the Oberlinden square or the quiet inner garden.
