From the mainland, you can reach the island very easily by ferry and during the summer months, many events take place there. The main town of the island is the eponymous town of Rad with cultural and historical monuments. The town of Lopar is a popular seaside resort especially for families with small children, who can enjoy wonderful water fun on the gently sloping sandy beach, also known as Paradise Beach. Picturesque bays, clear water, historical towns and cultural sights are the features that invite visitors to stay on the island of Rab.
