Urgemütliche refurbished 5-star mountain hut at 750 m. NN in sunny location at the edge of the forest in Klingenthal / Vogtland

Our mountain lodge is idyllically and quietly located at the edge of the forest at 750 m in Klingenthal / Vogtland directly on the Czech border. In no time you have forgotten your everyday worries and switch to recovery. The house is an ideal retreat: to let go, breathe deeply and unwind.
Since January 2017 our holiday home is classified by the German Tourist Board as a 5-star holiday home.

Built in 1839, the farmhouse was carefully and exclusively renovated in 2015/2016. On 180 m2 of living and working space with spacious living-dining area and a large kitchen / stove in the former stable, three bedrooms, two bathrooms (3 toilets) and a free-standing bathtub was created a very cozy and very special mountain chalet for up to seven guests.

In our mountain hut, all rooms have a clear view - either in Bohemian in the Czech Republic or in the Ore Mountains. From the quiet terrace in its own garden paradise on 2,000 m², the view sweeps across meadows into the surrounding mountains.

Our mountain lodge is an ideal starting point for hikes or bike rides in the immediate area with the varied attractions of the Vogtlandes in the Erzgebirge and Bohemia. Unique are the three certified hiking trails Höhensteig, Kammweg (part of the European long-distance hiking trail E3) and Vogtland Panorama Weg. The first two lead directly along the house.

The snow-reliable Klingenthal ski area with over 100 kilometers of groomed cross-country ski trails offers ideal winter sports conditions. Many kilometers of groomed local trails and ski trails invite you to cross-country skiing: the Sonnenloipe, the Schwarzberg trail and the Mittelberg trail are especially popular with families and seniors. The only 5 km long Sonnenloipe, which leads directly past the house, is perfect for beginners.


Vogtland is located in the quadrangle of Saxony, Thuringia, Bavaria and Bohemia. After Klingenthal, the best way to get there is via motorway A 72 - exit Plauen Süd: continue via Oelsnitz and Schöneck to Zwota and Klingenthal. Exit Zwickau West: continue via Lengenfeld, Auerbach and Tannenbergsthal.
