In Sagard you live close to the chalk coast and about 6km from the Baltic beach. Sagard is located between the chalk coast and the Jasmunder Bodden, which means in the beautiful north of the island of Rügen, and is thus about 6 kilometers from the famous port city of Sassnitz. From Sagard, you can reach two of the most popular Baltic Sea beaches in just a few minutes' drive: Both the "Schaabe" at Glowe and the Baltic Sea beach "Tromper Wiek" in Prora / Binz can be reached within a 6 to 10-minute drive. By the way, you can easily reach the Baltic Sea beach of Glowe by car via an idyllic cycling and hiking trail that leads directly along the Jasmunder Bodden. Especially the visit of the chalk coast in the Jasmund National Park will be remembered, as many people have been for centuries before you, personalities such as Caspar David Friedrich and Goethe have been inspired here. Even the park's magnificent beech forest has been part of the World Heritage since 2011. Sagard also has a good infrastructure with restaurants and cafes and several supermarkets.
