The island town of Malchow, also known as the "Pearl of the Mecklenburg Lake District", is located between Plauer See and Müritz, directly on the Malchower and Fleesensee. Malchow is a small romantic and dreamy city with about 6500 inhabitants. The old town center is located on a small island, you will also find the half-timbered town hall there. Experience cultural and culinary highlights. Our museums, artists, the ice rink and various locations are looking forward to your visit. The surrounding area offers many interesting destinations. In about 26 km distance you will find the Müritz National Park, in 20 km the bear forest or in 4 km the monkey forest with summer toboggan run. Visit the state capital of Schwerin (about 90 km) or start a trip from Malchow to the Baltic Sea.
