Activities:
The Algarve is a very well developed region with a wide variety of possible activities. In the vicinity of Casa Tamaris there are many larger and smaller beaches that invite you to relax, swim and walk. Also on the larger beaches there are offers for jet skiing, kite surfing or for a tour by boat through the caves. There is also a very nice hiking route along the cliffs between the beach of Benagil and Praia da Marinha. Within 20-30 minutes by car you can reach a larger water park, several larger and smaller cities with beautiful old towns and shopping arcades (Portimao) or historical sights (Silves Castle). For a day trip, a trip to the most southwestern point of Europe (Cabo de São Vicente) including a trip along the west coast, where you can discover hidden bays with beautiful beaches in a breathtaking panorama, is worthwhile. On the other hand, the Monchique Mountains with the Foia Mountain are also worth a trip, especially for lovers of hiking. In the town of Monchique, with winding streets and a beautiful view of the Algarve, it is worth trying some hearty regional specialties in a rustic restaurant.
