We rent our new family house in the quaint, old, Cretan village Drakona.
Very quiet hillside, 5 minutes by car to the sea (Kolymvari), 30 minutes to Chania (tourist center, shopping, Venetian harbor), 40 minutes to the airport Chania (no aircraft noise at the house), 15 minutes to Kissamos (child-friendly beaches) , 30 minutes to the beautiful beach of Falassarna, 1.5 hours to the famous beach of Elafonisi, 1.5 hours to the Samaria Gorge, 1 hour to a very good Belgian riding stable, 1.5 hours to Rethymnon and much more ,
The house is a one to a very good German standard furnished family home with everything that makes life pleasant (fully air conditioned in winter and summer, dishwasher, washing machine, stove, large and shady terraces for the summer, fly screens and shutters).
The house has about 90 square meters of living space, complemented by about 30 square meters Terrassenwaechen, including a covered, one with a vine-covered pergola. Inside are a large living room with open kitchen, a spacious bathroom and 2 bedrooms. The Mediterranean Sea is also visible from the house.
The house is ideal as a starting point for hikers in spring / autumn, cottage for families with small and large children and generally holiday makers and individualists who like to enjoy their peace away from the tourist bustle, but also want to be in the thick of it.
Our German neighbors live all year round on site, so that there is always someone with questions and problems. A car is needed (public transport is available in the usual Greece).
