Between water and forest as well as away from the hustle and bustle of the seaside resorts lies Fuhlendorf. A municipality on the southern coast of the Bodden directly at the National Park Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft between Ribnitz-Damgarten and Barth, in the district of Nordvorpommern. The landscape owes its name to a chain of shallow bodies of water, the Bodden. Together, the Darß-Zingster Bodden waters have a 135-kilometer long coastline with bays, hooks and peninsulas. The history of the area dates back to the 12th Century back.
