Charming, rural, quiet: The Backhaus impresses with its historic charm and the proximity to both the Baltic Sea (3 minutes by bike) and the nature reserve Geltinger Birk. Harmoniously it fits into the overall system of the Ostseehof Langfeld - one of the last remaining half-timbered farms between Schlei and the Baltic Sea. Langfeld offers pure Bullerbü romance and is an absolute paradise for children near the beach. The bakery dates back to the middle of the 18th century. Century and served for centuries actually as Backhaus. Here was the big oven, where the bread for the farm workers and the family was baked every day. Later, it functioned as a chicken coop until it was lavishly renovated in 2014 and lovingly restored to historical detail.
Real wood floors, lattice windows and old pickled doors lend the bakery a lot of charm. It is idyllically located on the edge of the field and is ideal for a family with two children or a couple who is looking for nature and tranquility. If required, a guest room (Kojenzimmer or Alte Werkstatt) with double bed and private bathroom can be rented in the neighboring cowshed.
From the terrace you have a wonderful view over the fields and Falshöft on the Baltic Sea. For modern standards provide television, stereo and Wi-Fi, as well as located in the opposite cowshed sauna with relaxation room and overlooking the lighthouse of Falshöft. Sheets and towels are included in the price.

If you want to accommodate larger groups, you have the opportunity to rent the other cottages of Ostseehof Langfeld: The main house, the Westerscheune and the Caecilienhof. A large function room for workshops, seminars and celebrations is also available and can be booked on request. The Gelting Bay is located near the Danish border in the middle of the fishing region, which counts with its hilly landscape, its yellow rapeseed fields and long beaches to the most beautiful holiday regions of Germany. Nestled between the Baltic Sea and Schlei fishing is far away from the tourist Baltic Sea strongholds.
Instead of apartment buildings, this is lined with thatched roof cottages, family houses, smaller and larger mansions. The beaches are but not overpopulated. The diversity of the landscape is what makes the area so special. There is a wide range of riding, sailing and surfing courses in the area. The nature conservation beloved Geltinger Birk invites to extended hikes and bicycle tours. The Viking village Haitabu, the castle Glücksburg and many other attractions are worth a trip even in bad weather.
Beach vacationers come here as well as athletes, culture lovers, nature lovers, cyclists and hikers.

Kitchen, living and dining are also generously designed here and arrange around the old oven, which has been converted into a large fireplace. From the sofa you have a beautiful view of the field and in good weather on the Baltic Sea. The fireplace is positioned so that you can watch it while eating at the old Biedermeier kitchen table and resting on the sofa, and above all, feel its warmth.

Description of the bedrooms:
Overall, there are two bedrooms in the back house. One is located on the ground floor. It has a 1.80 meter wide box spring bed. The second bedroom is located in the attic. In the beautiful, cozy bunk bed ideally two children find space. There is also the possibility to rent a third bedroom for two people with a private bathroom in the neighboring building - the so-called cow shed. The guest room is not included in the price and will be charged extra.

Description of the bathroom:
The bakehouse has a bathroom downstairs with shower, bath and washing machine. It is complemented by a small toilet with sink in the roof.

Description of the outdoor area:
Idyllic, located directly on the edge of the field, the Backhaus completes the courtyard north. In the small garden are several fruit trees. A hammock invites you to read and doze in summer. A small swing is there for the little ones. Six ducks populate the fenced pond directly at the back house. Sun loungers, a beach chair and a dining table with chairs offer all possibilities to enjoy the day in the garden. From the terrace you have a wonderful view over the fields and Falshöft on the Baltic Sea.
