Surrounded by extensive forests of the Waldeck holiday region, you will find the Twistesee near Bad Arolsen, one of the cleanest German reservoirs. It is located around 40 km west of Kassel between Bad Arolsen in the west, Volkmarsen in the northeast and Wolfhagen in the east.
The holiday park is located above the Twistestausee, a relaxation paradise for families in summer and winter. The walk to the lake is about 5 minutes.
You spend your vacation in your own house in the middle of the forest with a covered terrace and lawn. The house is furnished for 6 people. On the ground floor there is a living room with dining area and kitchen (fridge, electric stove with oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster), bedroom with double bed and bathroom. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms with 2 beds each. There are TV (satellite system) in the living room and lower bedroom, Internet, patio furniture, barbecue, cot and high chair at your disposal.
Bed linen, hand and tea towels are to be brought along.
Tourist:
Around the main part of the Twistesees leads a 7 km long cycle path, which is asphalted or gravel. Numerous trails in the woods invite you to hike and jog. Water ski athletes can use a water ski system installed in the reservoir. It is possible to sail the lake with rubber, paddle and pedal boats. A lido was created on the shore, which you can use free of charge. On the east bank there is a large lawn for sunbathing, a nudist meadow and a closed area for model ship boats. There is a nine-hole golf course on the mountain slopes that adjoin the west bank. There is also the holiday park Twistesee with mini golf course, playground, tennis court and volleyball court. If the weather is not so nice, visit the Arobella water park in Bad Arolsen (approx. 3 km).
Restaurants are located in the park (approx. 300 m) and in Wetterburg (approx. 1 km).
Baroque castle Bad Arolsen (approx. 3 km).
Documentary city of Kassel with the Wilhelmshöhe Palace Park, Hercules and Kurhessentherme (approx. 40 km).

In the period from April 1st to October 31st the city of Bad Arolsen charges a spa tax in accordance with the applicable statutes. This is € 1 per day for adults, children between 10 and 16 years pay € 50 per day.
