Chateau Mondou is a charming 13th-century country house located in the lush hills of the Lot et Garonne. The chateau has three gites, for 6/8 (there is an extra room with limited height (180 cm) suitable for children), 6 and 4 people, which can be rented per gite or as a whole. In addition, there is a large extra castle room that can be rented separately, ask us for details.

A lovely 11x5 metre saltwater swimming pool is located in a private area behind the building. Everywhere you look, you have an unobstructed view of the countryside. A communal outdoor area with a wood-burning stove, pizza oven and long table completes the picture. Everything you need for a wonderful holiday. Our estate has super-fast internet via satellite.

The largest gite, Bellevue, is located in the right wing. This gite is suitable for 6 people and has two bedrooms downstairs and a triple room upstairs. It has a large, beautiful bathroom and a small, simple bathroom. There are two living rooms; one with an open kitchen and large table adjacent to the enormous balcony with a 180-degree view of the swimming pool and countryside. There is also a second living room with a large wood-burning stove, armchairs and a sofa. We, Rokus and Marie-Anne, live in the left wing of the chateau with the chateau dog, Saar. We keep a low profile but are always available to give you tips and make your stay even more enjoyable.

Across from the chateau is gite La Loge, a former gatekeeper's house. This unique gite can accommodate 6 people and has two double bedrooms, one of which is on the mezzanine. There is also a small bunk room. The kitchen is well equipped with, among other things, a large Smeg stove. There is a bathroom with shower and washbasin and a separate toilet. La Loge has three terraces, on the east, south and west sides, and its own garden.

Hidden behind La Loge is the third gite: La Grangee, which is located in the former barn. La Grangee is somewhat smaller, very private and suitable for 4 people. It has two bedrooms and a bathroom. The kitchen is new and well equipped. You have optimal privacy with your own courtyard and a large garden with unobstructed views. All houses have plenty of shaded seating and lounge areas outside.

The estate is situated on its own 2-hectare plot and is located 4 kilometres above Villeneuve sur Lot, a charming, lively bastide town with all amenities, markets and entertainment. The surrounding area is rural and hilly, with countless interesting places to visit. Tourism is pleasant and just right. Not too busy and not too quiet.

You can cycle, walk, swim, play golf (golf course 7 km away), visit castles and caves, go boating on the Lot, visit bastide villages with a food market every evening in high season. There are also various adventure and water parks. But perhaps the best thing is to relax in a comfortable chair under the lime tree.
