Algarrobo Azul is situated less than 10 kilometers from the Mediterranean, on an altitude of 450 meters over the lively town of Almuñécar. It is a tastefully renovated cortijo, equipped with everything you need for a care-free holiday: a large pool (10x3,5 meters), lovely bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom and boxspring beds, an ample salon and several terraces all around (and on top!) to be able to enjoy the wonderful views at any time: sea, mountains and stars. The house has its own well-equipped kitchen but if you don't want to cook, you can enjoy our table d'hôte service too.
The surroundings are an open invitations to various outdoor activities: right at our gate you can take long walks or hikes, go off-road cycling in our Sierra de Almijara nature park, or you can decide to stay 'home' and relax near the pool or any other terrace to enjoy the quiet and singing birds. Lively cities like Málaga and Granada are only an hours' drive away while lively Almuñécar below boasts of several beaches, numerous restaurants and even more bars as well as a pleasant centre. There is a daily farmers market, a busy weekly market as well as an (out-of-season) Sunday morning flea market. Close by you can play golf, dive or even ski in winter and literally everywhere you'll come across remnants of the interesting Andalucían history. For those who still want more, Algarrobo Azul can also offer creative and culinary workshops in collaboration with local makers.
And when the days end, stories are shared underneath our age-old Algarrobo (carob tree).
The climate is lovely year-round: summers don't get too hot with average temperatures of around 32 degrees, while even in winter you can enjoy usually outdoor breakfasts!
