This house offers an astonishing view over the Douro river that no photograph can really give justice to, and is located 100m from the river in a green valley. The city of Oporto and the airport are approximately 50km (approx. 1 hour away) by road.

Sunshine and good weather are the norm all year around. From April, it's warm enough to enjoy the view whilst sitting outside by the private pool or on the terrace. Until late in the evening the temperature outside is always pleasant and the surroundings are very peaceful. The quiet is only broken by the boats navigating on the river, birds flying by in the sky, or the splash as you take a refreshing swim in the pool or by the clink of your glass of wine!

The house was rebuilt in 2010, the original building having been preserved since 1866. The 80cm thick granite walls are typical of the region and maintain a cool, fresh temperature inside the house. Modern glass, steel and wood have been combined with the existing older materials, creating a comfortable and inviting interior atmosphere.

The house comprises a total area of 224m², with 3 bedrooms, a full kitchen, a large living room, bathroom, a toilet and finally a studio. The exterior consists of an area of over 1200m²; with the typical terraces of Douro and several trees. There is also a private pool surrounded by the deck, complete with sun loungers for an afternoon nap, or you could just sit on the steps of the pool in the cool water and gaze over the amazing view.
