Private vacation home

The house is set on a 3 hectare property on a hillside over the Douro river. It is an organic farm with vineyards, fruit trees, backyard with vegetables and herbs and several garden areas. It also has a forest area overlooking the Douro river.

The farmhouse, completely fenced, is entirely for the exclusive use of renters during the holiday period.

Our guests can harvest organic vegetables, herbs and farm fruits. At Quinta da Vinha Nova we produce Portinha Green Wine.

The house was built by filmmaker Manoel de Oliveira. It was restored by the current owners, Guilhermina and Joaquim, and augmented with a modern architecture component.

It has 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms, large living room with dining and living area with fireplace, kitchen, and two terraces with stunning views of the Douro river. It has central heating. It has barbecue and several areas for outdoor dining. Has laundry in an annex to the house with bathroom

It has a private pool and games room with billiards, dice, darts and various table games. It has Ping Ping abroad.

The house is 1 hour and 20 minutes by train or by car from Porto and 30 minutes by car or train from the Douro Vinhateiro Zone, a World Heritage Site, where Port Wine is produced. In the city of Régua, 30 minutes away, you can go boating in the Douro.

It is also 1 hour from the city of Guimarães, also a World Heritage Site, a historic city where Portugal was born. 45 minutes away is also the beautiful city of Amarante and the city of Lamego.
