Within walking distance (1,8 km) you will find the picturesque old town along the fishermen's beaches and Peneco (also accessible via a lift) with an abundance of shops, cafes, pubs, quality restaurants around the main square with live shows during the holiday season.

Other lovely beaches, such as Galé, San Rafael and Salgados (among others), as well as a high quality supermarket and several restaurants including one with 2 Michelin stars, are located in the west within 10 min. by car.

The charming village of Guia, with several restaurants specializing in chicken Piri-Piri (chicken with spicy sauce), banks and cake shops is only a 10-minute drive away. Outside the Guia, you'll find Zoomarine, an aquarium with a dolphin show (great for kids) and the second largest shopping center in the area, with many shops, restaurants, cinema and a hypermarket.

The nearest golf course and nature reserve, with pond and walkway (excellent for bird watching) are in Salgados (10 min. By car).

For a great family day, there is a choice of water parks, a zoo with mini golf and a go-kart track, all within 30 min. by car.
