Easily accessible by train (the railway station is about 400 meters away) and the car (Lavagna exit of the A12 motorway is 1.6 km away). In the immediate vicinity there is one of the largest marinas in the Mediterranean with around 1400 berths. At about 1.5 km there is a multi-sports complex equipped with swimming pool, "Palazzetto dello Sport" for basketball and volleyball, tennis courts and a relaxing green area with a playground for children, as well as a soccer field and bowling green. The surrounding green hills offer excursions for every need with numerous itineraries.
About 45 km away is Genoa, a thousand-year-old city, with one of the largest historical centers in Europe, with historic buildings and cathedrals, the Aquarium and the Galata Museo del Mare.
A short distance from Lavagna you can visit Portofino and its bay, the famous Cinque Terre (UNESCO World Heritage Site; easily accessible by train or boat departing from Lavagna) as well as San Fruttuoso and Portovenere
