Comfortable charming apartment, called "Casa del Guardia", about 75sqm large (808 square feet), inserted inside the historic private estate Pieve di Caminino; shares with six other apartments the large park and the swimming pool: the private estate covers over 200 hectares, mostly fenced for maximum privacy, with olive grove, vineyard and cork forest where you can walk or jog for kilometers in absolute tranquility , in the midst of the unspoiled nature of a historic estate, once a monastery, today an organic farm. This apartment Has its own independent entrance, fronted by a garden where the apartment has its own private furnished corner: it is therefore possible to sit in the greenery in the shade of a gazebo surrounded by roses, old trees and close to the organic garden of the farm. It has a double bedroom with king-size bed, panoramic view from the "French balcony" towards the valley framed by centuries-old olive trees, ceiling fan and anti-mosquito screen on the French balcony door. The kitchen - living room is large, with gas hob (4 burners), refrigerator (130 liters), dishwasher and old farmhouse fireplace. The bathroom is complete, with tub and shower. In the living room there is a sofa bed, usable for a third person or for two people who prefer to sleep separately. The restyling and furnishings have been personally supervised by the owners, architects, using paintings and furniture from the family collections. It is equipped with wifi internet, included in the price, while by choice in the name of the countryside and tranquility the TV was not installed. Instead, a radio with classical music CDs is installed and a library is available, centered on Tuscany and its itineraries, flavors and wines. Guests are received by the owners, who live on the estate and are available for any need or information. Guests are welcomed in the hall of the ancient former parish church, now a permanent museum, the visit of which is reserved exclusively - on request - to guests booked during their stay.
La Pieve di Caminino is an excellent "base camp" in the heart of southern Tuscany, surrounded by the romantic medieval villages perched in Montemassi, Roccatederighi, Sticciano, Montepescali, which offer tasty local trattorias. The nearby settlement of Ribolla (5km - 3mi) offers a point of reference for shopping at the supermarket, local wines, post office, tobacconists, banks, pharmacy and petrol stations. From Pieve di Caminino you can reach Massa Marittima (26km - 16Mi) in twenty minutes, a splendid historical and cultural capital of southern Tuscany, with a magnificent cathedral and an excellent choice of charming wine bars and restaurants. At 34km (21mi) you reach the coast, Follonica, excellent for fresh fish restaurants and for nightlife, and Castiglione della Pescaia, for peaceful panoramic beaches and small charming restaurants. From the Pieve di Caminino you can also make day trips to Siena (60km - 37mi), Montalcino (56km - 34mi), Bolgheri (78km - 48mi), Pitigliano, Saturnia, Sorano and Sovana (around 90km - 55mi), Florence ( 130km - 80mi).
