Borgo Santa Maria is a holiday and relaxation retreat born from the skillful and meticulous architectural restoration of ancient stone and brick farmhouses built over the centuries. Nestled in the lush Umbrian countryside, just a stone’s throw from Tuscany, it is the perfect place to enjoy a vacation immersed in nature and cultural tourism.

Guests have access to a large organic garden filled with seasonal vegetables, aromatic herbs, and fruit. During the summer months, visitors can pick their own delicious blackberries, raspberries, currants, and strawberries—perfect for making homemade jam. Harvesting your own fruit and vegetables is truly a wonderful experience!

Scattered throughout the garden, surrounded by greenery, you’ll also find intriguing wooden and iron sculptures designed to spark your creativity and curiosity.

The interiors of the houses are simple yet welcoming, staying true to the rustic traditions of Umbria and Tuscany. As soon as you step inside, you’ll feel the charm of the old farmhouse: the sponge-painted walls in warm, blended tones create a cozy and reassuring atmosphere. The ceilings still feature the original terracotta tiles and exposed wooden beams. The living areas, with terracotta floors and traditional brick fireplaces, offer a warm and inviting ambiance, complemented by antique furniture and classic woven straw chairs.

Attention to detail is paired with the comfort of modern amenities, including independent heating, appliances, a safe, double-glazed windows, Wi-Fi, digital and satellite TV.

Our agriturismo is also an ideal choice for large groups, thanks to the vast open spaces that offer countless opportunities for fun and relaxation. Guests can enjoy games of five-a-side football and volleyball, compete at the bocce court, fish in our private pond, work out in the calisthenics area, or simply unwind by the pool, surrounded by the peaceful Umbrian landscape.

We’ve recently enhanced the experience with a new private SPA area, featuring a hot tub and sauna—perfect for sharing moments of wellness and serenity.
