Whenever possible, check-in happens in person by 9:00 pm, so we can welcome you and explain everything calmly.
If you arrive later, or prefer total independence, we’ll point you to a convenient and safe place to pick up the keys.
All instructions are sent before arrival, in a simple and clear way.

⚠️ GETTING AROUND & MOBILITY
🚶 You’re in a very convenient area: the harbour/Marina and city life are walkable, so for eating out, strolling and enjoying Sciacca you don’t need a car.

🚗 A car is recommended if you want the freedom to reach:
• more distant beaches and coves outside town ⛱️
• viewpoints, villages and attractions nearby 🗺️
• evening trips without relying on schedules

🚌 Local buses run, but with limited services and specific routes.

🚕 Private taxis are available (❌ no Uber or similar services).



ℹ️ A FEW THINGS TO KNOW:

• Mosquitoes in the warm season 🦟
As in many seaside areas of Sicily, mosquitoes can be present during the summer months, especially in the evening.

We suggest keeping the window screens closed and, if you wish, using personal repellent.
• “Marina” harbour district ⚓️

The home is in a very lively area, shaped by the harbour’s everyday life: boats, fishermen and workers create an authentic, “real” atmosphere.

The harbour is not suitable for swimming, but it’s perfect for walks along the pier and for experiencing the Marina up close.



🛏️ USE OF THE 2ND ROOM (BOOKINGS FOR 2 GUESTS)
If you’re 2 guests and would like to use the second room or the sofa bed as well, we simply ask you to let us know in advance, so we can prepare everything properly.



📜 HOUSE RULES TO READ AND ACCEPT BEFORE YOUR STAY:

📝 CONTRACT + 🆔 ID VERIFICATION (MANDATORY):
After booking, you will receive:
• the Tourist Rental Agreement to sign digitally — we use the written form as required for rental contracts (L. 431/1998, art. 1 para. 4 + DL 50/2017).
• the link for ID document registration, required to report guest details to Public Security authorities (art. 109 TULPS / Alloggiati Web).

🚭 SMOKING:
Smoking is not allowed inside the home (including e-cigarettes). Smoke detectors are installed and may trigger the alarm.
✅ Smoking is allowed on the outdoor balcony.


🩴 CLEAN YOUR FEET AFTER THE BEACH:
After returning from the beach, it is mandatory to clean your feet thoroughly before entering the home and using the stairs.
Sand on the stairs can cause slips and compromise your safety.


🗑️ WASTE DISPOSAL (MANDATORY):
Separate waste collection is mandatory and must be followed according to the municipal schedule.
You’ll find everything in the house manual, and we’ll explain it at check-in as well.
🚫 Never leave rubbish inside the home, for any reason (even for a few hours), to avoid odours and issues.
🕗 Every evening, you must place the bins with the bags outside the main door.
📅 Follow the schedule: it will help you dispose of waste correctly, day by day.


💧 WATER USE (MINDFUL CONSUMPTION):
We kindly ask you to use water responsibly, avoiding waste and unnecessary consumption.
In Sicily, water is a precious resource—especially in summer: small habits make a big difference.


🔑⚡ ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:
The apartment’s electrical system is controlled by a small key connected to the house keys. When you leave, this key must be removed, which turns off the electricity in the entire apartment, except for the fridge and kitchen appliances. This system is designed to ensure safety and energy sustainability.
