Located on a hill within the Chianti area, 40min from the center of Florence, Casa Citerna is the result of a contemporary renovation of an old country house.

The house offers two double bedrooms with private bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining/living area, and a private garden with gazebo and parking space.

All rooms feature underfloor heating and cooling.

The property can accommodate a maximum of 5 people. Pets are allowed.

Casa Citerna is located in Poggio alla Croce, a hillside village in the Chianti area, located between Florence and Valdarno.

Please note that the accommodation is easily accessible by car and motorcycle, while local public transport is rather inefficient.

The village has about 250 inhabitants and is popular among trekking and MTB enthusiasts because of the many trails in the area. A few meters from the house are a restaurant and a bar/shop.

The house measures 150 sqm and is on two levels: a living area on the ground floor, accessible from the garden, and a sleeping area on the first floor.

— Other things to note —

The house will be at your complete disposal. Cars and motorcycles can be parked inside the property.

Poggio alla Croce is located at an altitude of 500 meters (1.600 feet) above sea level, therefore summer temperatures are generally several degrees lower than in Florence and its surrounding area. You will be able to enjoy the garden and the many walking trails in the area without suffering from the heat of the cities.

During the winter months, underfloor heating and a wood-burning fireplace make the house exceptionally comfortable.
