Villa Calaconte is an elegant and welcoming two-story independent house dating back to the sixteenth century. It sleeps 14 people. It is approximately 600 square meters (6460 square feet). It features a private swimming pool, a private terrace, a private patio, a private garden, air conditioning (please read description below to check in which rooms the units are installed), winter heating and WI-FI Internet access.
You will be in the heart of Muro Leccese, where you will find restaurants, shops and public transportation. You will find the closest restaurant at 300 meters (990 feet), a grocery store at 250 meters (820 feet), the bus stop at 350 meters (1150 feet) and the closest beach (Dei Gradoni beach) at 16 km (roughly 10 miles).
You will reach Villa Calaconte from the parking area without having to climb any steps.
For a successful stay at Villa Calaconte we recommend having a car. You will be able to park it free of charge on the premises. The parking space is suitable for up to three cars.

This house is adjacent to another rental property, Villa Calalume. The two can be connected through their gardens by a door that can be opened if needed, making them very convenient for large groups or family reunions.
Swimming Pool
The swimming pool is 2 meters (6.5 feet) large by 20 meters (65 feet) long, 1.2 meters (4 feet) deep. The area is equipped with sun loungers, and it is partly shaded by citrus trees. From the swimming pool you will have a lovely view of the patio and of the greenery. The pool is open all year round, although it is not heated.
Patio
The patio is 160 square meters (1720 square feet) large. It is partly shaded by two characteristic pergolas with bamboo roof and by tall trees. It is equipped with armchairs and with tables, chairs and deck chairs. On the patio you will find a cooking area. This area is equipped with a two-burner electric cooker. From the patio you will have a pleasant view of the garden and of the swimming pool.
Garden
The garden is 300 square meters (3230 square feet). It is partly shaded by tall trees and by a characteristic pergola with a bamboo roof. The garden is equipped with a small sofa and armchairs. Here you will also find a brickwork barbecue. From the garden you will have a nice view of the patio and of the swimming pool.
Main Building, Ground FloorLiving Room
The living room is paved with wood. The ceiling is vaulted. The furnishings are bright and agreeable, and include a sofa, armchairs and a desk. There is a practical fireplace, for decorative purposes only. In this room you will find a satellite television (local channels). From the living room you will be able to enter the garden and the swimming pool through four French doors.
Dining Room 1
You will be able to enter the first dining room from the living room through a cased opening. The floor is paved with stone tiles. The ceiling is high and vaulted. The furnishings are warm and welcoming, and include suspended chandeliers. The dining table can accommodate 14 guests. The furnishings include a masonry bench. There is a big and age-old fireplace made of stone. From the dining room you will be able to enter the patio and the inner court through three French doors. The room also has a large window.
Kitchen 1
You will be able to enter the first kitchen from the first dining room. The floor is paved with checkered black and white tiles. It is equipped with a four-burner gas cooker, an electric oven, a refrigerator with freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave oven, an Italian-style coffee-maker, a toaster and a kettle. There is an age-old fireplace made of stone. The dining table can accommodate six guests. From the kitchen a French door will take you to the patio. The room also has a window.
Half bath 1
The half-bath is equipped with a washbasin and a toilet. You will be able to enter it from the first kitchen.
Second Building, Ground FloorDining Room 2
You will be able to enter the second dining room from the inner court of the building climbing three steps. The floor is paved with stone tiles. The ceiling is high and vaulted. The dining table can accommodate six guests. The furnishings include an armchair. The room has a window.
Kitchen 2
You will be able to enter the second kitchen from the second dining room. It is equipped with a two-burner gas cooker, a refrigerator with freezer, a dishwasher and an Italian-style coffee-maker. There is a practical fireplace. The dining table can accommodate six guests. From the kitchen a French door will take you to the inner court. The room also has a small high window.
Bedroom 1 with en-suite bathroom
You will be able to enter the first bedroom from the second dining room through an access area. The bedroom has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/63 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). In this room you will find a television (local channels). The room has a window, and it's equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, spacious and equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a bathtub with fixed shower head and a hairdryer.
Half bath 2
The half-bath is equipped with a washbasin and a toilet. You will be able to enter it from the second kitchen. Second Building, First FloorBedroom 2 with en-suite bathroom
You will be able to enter the second bedroom through an access area. The bedroom has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/63 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). In this room you will find a television (local channels). The room has a Juliet balcony, and it's equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, an open shower, a bathtub with shower wand and a hairdryer.
Bedroom 3 with en-suite bathroom
You will be able to enter the third bedroom through an access area. It has three single beds (80 cm/32 inches). The furnishings include a bedroom chair and a desk. In this room you will find a television (local channels). The room has a Juliet balcony, and it's equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, equipped with a washbasin, a toilet and a bathtub with shower wand (please note you will be able to get to the bathtub climbing three steps).
First Annex, First FloorTerrace
The terrace is 30 square meters (320 square feet) large. It is partly shaded by a bougainvillea pergola. It is equipped with a table and chairs. From the terrace you will enjoy a lovely view of the greenery and of the other buildings.
Bedroom 4 with en-suite bathroom
You will be able to enter the fourth bedroom through an external access, climbing two steps. The bedroom has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/63 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). The furnishings include two bedroom chairs and a desk. In this room you will find a television (local channels). From the bedroom you will be able to enter the terrace through a French door. The room also has a window, and it's equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a shower and a hairdryer.
Second Annex, First FloorBedroom 5 - a pass-through room
Important notice: members of your party will need to walk through this bedroom to reach the sixth bedroom and the bathroom. You will be able to enter the fifth bedroom through an external access. It has three single beds (80 cm/32 inches). The furnishings include a desk. In this room you will find a television (local channels). The room has two windows, and it's equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
Bedroom 6
You will be able to enter the sixth bedroom from the fifth bedroom through an access area. The bedroom has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/63 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). In this room you will find a television (local channels). From the bedroom you will be able to enter the terrace through a French door. The room also has a small high window, and it's equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
Bathroom
The bathroom is equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a shower and a hairdryer. You will be able to enter the bathroom from the fifth bedroom and from the sixth bedroom through an access area.
Other rooms, First FloorLaundry room
You will be able to reach the laundry room through an external access. Here you will find a washing machine, an iron and an ironing board at your disposal.
