Private vacation home
About This Property
The villa has two bedrooms (one double and one twin), a kitchen, a bright living room, and two bathrooms. On the lower floor, there is a small living room with a sofa bed that can accommodate two more people.
The space
The former Eni Village, declared a national cultural heritage site by the Ministry of Culture in July 2024, was born from the visionary idea of Enrico Mattei, which was brought to life in 1952 by architect Edoardo Gellner, who developed a design solution that reinterpreted Alpine architecture in a modern key, defining the project in every detail, both technologically and structurally.
The villa has been completely renovated, while remaining faithful to Gellner's original design, including all the original period furnishings.
The large living room is dominated by a huge window overlooking the enchanted forest, where it is easy to see squirrels, deer, roe deer, and above all Foxie the fox, who occasionally emerges from the woods for an unexpected visit.
The villa also has a large panoramic terrace for aperitifs/lunches/dinners outdoors in contact with nature and the wildlife of the woods, allowing you to fully enjoy the peace and quiet of the place.
The accommodation also includes three FREE parking spaces available to guests: two in the property's EXCLUSIVE parking lot and the remaining one in front of the villa's entrance gate.
For ski lovers: we are located in the heart of the Dolomiti Superski area with over 150 km of slopes, including San Vito di Cadore (3 km away), Cortina d'Ampezzo 15 km away, Alta Badia 50 minutes away, Tre Cime 45 minutes away, and Kronplatz an hour's drive away, also accessible by SkiBus.
Not to mention the countless cross-country ski trails between Cortina and Dobbiaco, in an idyllic setting, where you can also go snowshoeing with or without guides.
In summer, a stay in these places is a dream come true, among the most beautiful mountains in the world (UNESCO World Heritage Site), with many hiking trails suitable for everyone and some of the most spectacular places in the Dolomites to visit (the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, Lake Sorapiss, Lake Braies, to name but a few in the vicinity).
Not only hiking... this is also a paradise for cycling, with many routes including the “Lunga via delle Dolomiti” (Long Road of the Dolomites) which connects Calalzo-Cortina-Dobbiaco-S. Candido and Lienz, and passes right by the village where the chalet is located.
