It is less than 5 minutes by car to the town of Nizza Monferrato with 20,000 inhabitants and a number of restaurants, grocery stores, shopping and a weekly market.
Piedmont is a well-known destination for wine and food enthusiasts with focus on red wine and truffles. It is around 1 hour from the house to the famous towns of Barolo, Alba and Asti. The shaping landscape also makes Piedmont a popular place for road biking. It is possible to rent bicycles in Nizza Monferrato.
It is just over 1 hour down to Savona on the Italian Riviera, and approx 2 hours up to Lake Como by the Alps. The house is located between the big cities of Milan, Turin and Genoa, with approx. 1.5 hours to each of these. It is not very far from the French riviera either, approx 3 hours by car to Nice.
The nearest airports are in Milan. The closest is Milan Malpensa, 1.5 hours. You can also fly to Linate or Bergamo. From Nice in France it is approx. 3 hours drive.
