The castle of Montalto in Tuscany is a medieval hamlet with over 1000 years of history, surrounded by woods and farmland in the lovely and unspoiled Chianti hills near Siena.
Ten carefully restored villas and apartments, including a wing of the inner castle, are offered directly by the owner as self-catering accommodations sharing the swimming pool.
With its private chapel and banquet room, the castle is a spectacular venue for weddings and events.
Montalto in Toscana - La Voliera is a 1-bedroom cottage just outside the walls of the castle; its windows look down the hill to the woods. It has a small enclosed garden and adjacent parking.

The living room has a kitchen area, a sitting area and a dining table for two. The bedroom has a queen bed and windows on two sides. The bathroom has a tub with a shower on the wall over it.

Both the bedroom and the living room have beamed ceilings and terracotta tile floors. There are no steps throughout. The little garden is fenced in, convenient for small children or dogs.
