Bright and elegant apartment with balcony on Piazza Mergulensi, in the heart of Ortigia.



Located on the second floor of an elegant, early 1900s building, the apartment is located in a charming residential area with an old-town atmosphere, only steps away from Piazza Duomo, la Marina, a small beach and the many treasures that Ortigia has to offer. The entrance opens onto the living area. Large and airy, the living area features a comfortable sofa and a flat screen television, a dining table, the open fully-equipped kitchen with electric oven, induction and gas hob, refrigerator, coffee machine, toaster and juicer. From here guests can enter the balcony that boasts two chairs for relaxation. The sleeping area boasts two bedrooms, both with a queen-size bed, each room has a spacious walk-in closet, the other has an open wardrobe. A large bathroom with a shower completes the layout.



For relax and sea lovers, Eastern Sicily and the surroundings of Siracusa are the perfect choice. Leaving the ancient Greek city and going toward the south, the best equipped beaches worth of a visit are Minareto, Fanusa, Arenella and Fontane Bianche, whose name is due to the natural sweet spring water and to the unique white sand. Then, In the island of Ortigia there are some equipped solarium (Zefiro and Nettuno), as well as the free beach of Cala Rossa. Going further south, about 30 kms far away from Siracusa, there are amazing and wild beaches: Calamosche, Vendicari with its Wildlife Park and the precious San Lorenzo. For those looking for cultural and historical sites, it is recommended to visit Teatro Greco and its archeological site with the famous Orecchio di Dionisio (a limestone cave shaped as a human ear), the Museum Paolo Orsi, then the Latomie dei Cappuccini, and finally the island of Ortigia with its h natural and historic eye-catching landscapes. Finally, our guests should visit the town of Noto, the seafront of Tonnara di Avola and the fisherman village of Marzamemi. Sicily is beauty, a wild land with a millennial history impossible to forget at first glance, that will take a special space in your heart.



Siracusa train station is 2 km from the apartment while the airport of Catania is around 1 hour away by car.
