The property, situated on a hill of olive trees about one kilometer from the village of Guardistallo, and about ten kilometers from Cecina, offers its guests the most modern comforts (air conditioning, wifi, chromotherapy shower, satellite TV, corner cooking with induction and microwave, refrigerator) in a natural environment that has remained intact in the beauty of the typical Tuscan hillside covered with olive trees facing the sea. The house of Montedoro, built on a rock, has belonged to the same family since the mid-1800s; it was originally used as a stable for the animals of the property, then it was restored and expanded with the best materials in respect of the tradition of the houses Tuscan countryside. The original stone structure rests directly on the rock left exposed as a characterizing element. The furnishings respect the rustic style, without forcing, since the renovation is current. The living room with the beamed ceiling has a stone fireplace, the two sofas for conversation and rest are accompanied by a dining table. In the master bedroom the most characteristic notes are a part of stone wall with a large fossil shell, and another wall painted with a naturalistic theme by the lady of the house. The bathroom has a chromotherapy shower. Outside a shady porch allows you to consume immersed in nature breakfasts and lunches prepared with the most modern equipment in the kitchenette available to the guest, while the barbecue next to the house makes its use convenient for pleasant barbecues. A large lawn in front of the main façade leads to a clearing in the trees, designed as a quiet place for reading, but also as a play area for children, far from dangers as the property is fenced. It is not unusual to find fossil shells on the ground, once part of the seabed present in this place. Now the sea is a few kilometers from here, reachable quickly by car, but always visible from the house and ready to offer picturesque views on the clearest days with the islands of the archipelago up to Corsica. A kilometer from the hotel is the bus stop that connects it to Cecina, which offers the main services such as supermarkets, and transport. Nearby you can visit art cities like Siena and Florence, or ancient cities like Populonia, Volterra, San Gimignano or enjoy relaxing on the beaches of the Etruscan Coast
