"Villa Mariella" belongs to the Pittorino family, one of the oldest families, as a settlement, on the island of Salina, in the Aeolian Islands. In Piazzetta Pittorino, where the building is located, there is a statue dedicated to the grandfather of the owners: the dott. Giuseppe Pittorino. He was the first doctor conducted by Leni; he went to visit the patients in the two villages of the Municipality on the back of a mule. A garden of tropical plants, where the pause is enlivened by background music, surrounds the house. A plant native to Madagascar, with medicinal properties, experimented by the illustrious grandfather, who has also patented a digestive with the berries of it, the Eupeptic Tonic Pittorino, is accompanied by hibiscus, Christmas stars, cactus, cycas, plants of pink pepper, all create a deep sense of quiet and relaxation. Various corners are offered to guests for their rest, shaded or not, with sunbeds for the solarium, or under the pergolas and gazebos for lunches and dinners outdoors, or around the barbecue or finally comfortably seated in the living room or on the swing for relaxing readings; in fact, a wide selection of novels in French, English, German and Italian is available to tourists, as well as table games, decks, chess, checkers, back-gammons, etc. A refreshing drink or coffee around the bar in the breakfast area will brighten up the arrival of guests.
The hosts are justifiably proud of the family tradition full of old atmosphere and the history of their island. They will be prompted, in front of a glass, offered by them, of malvasia, delicious dessert wine with amber color, famous local DOC product, in transmitting information on the Aeolian Islands, traditions, anecdotes. Guests will be invited, with the warm insistence that distinguishes Southern hospitality, to share baskets of ecological fruit such as lotuses, mandarins, oranges, apricots, plums, figs, pomegranates, prickly pears, grapes and mulberries, depending on the season, fruits of their garden that are transformed by the landlady even in jams for tourists brunch.
Villa Pittorino is located in Leni, in Salina, Aeolian Islands in the center of Piazza Pittorino. It consists of a building dating back to the late 1700s, rich in historical evidence. Completely restored in 2012 it consists of two floors: on the first floor guests stay for the B & B (for those interested in the bed and breakfast visit the site) and guests for the unique charming apartment. The apartments, less expensive, rented, are located on the ground floor, suitable for families and couples. Even this whole floor, more rustic in Aeolian style, has undergone a new restoration, where the original ladders have been replaced by comfortable spiral staircases and masonry. It has kept unchanged but original destinations and spaces with large ceilings, exposed beams, high rooms divided into wooden and masonry mezzanines above and, below them, spaces for residential use. Each of them is made up of one or more rooms, furnished with natural wood furniture, each with a double bed or two beds, some with air conditioning and a safe and washing machine, all with ceiling fans, TV, kitchenette, bathroom with shower and reserved outdoor areas, equipped with pergolas, deckchairs, barbecues, small armchairs, dining tables with chairs, additional outdoor showers. Wi-fi free. The bed, table, kitchen and bathroom linens are available to hire for each couple of guests. Extras: consumption of gas, electricity and water meter, final cleaning as well as any subsequent change of linen, if required.

Two-room flat at the tavern level, facing towards the mountain, less bright than the other blue one-bedroom apartment, composed of:
• access from the outside through a gate common to the whole villa
• exclusive terrace covered by pergola for outdoor dining with table, chairs, with the characteristic elements: Aeolian style and pulleys
• access to the apartment from the garden through seven comfortable steps down; kitchenette, equipped with oven, fridge, freezer, snack counter, two bar type stools
• two steps down to the room with a ceiling of mt. 4 of height, more 'back, with double bed, cabinet, chest of drawers, TV, ceiling fan
• A 4-step ladder with access to the second room, behind the furnishing fireplace
• room with n. 2 bunk beds anyway + a single bed with independent access from the garden
• bathroom with shower
• external bathroom / laundry room for exclusive use
can accommodate four people.
CAUTION:
The apartment is not at street level but there are about 6/7 steps to go down. It is similar to a tavern. For this reason it is a bit 'less bright than the other apartments but is also' cooler.

Supplement for camping cot / crib / bed up to 5 years: € 15.00 one-time for the crib and € 20.00 one-time for the bed / cot, € 11.00 one-time linen if required.
Are available to tourists for free, upon request and availability 'beach towels and umbrella.
Please note that the outdoor breakfast bar is open only from 10/06 until 15/10, the same applies to the back garden that is available with all the equipment (rocking, gazebo, deckchairs, tables etc) only in the aforementioned period
The accommodation is not recommended for those suffering from the cold because during the winter season it is heated only with electric heaters, with energy consumption charged at 0.40 euros / kw. The ideal stay is from 01 May to 31/10.
For overnight stays from 1 to 3 nights are made available to tourists for their first needs:
