Casa da Guia is a cute and cozy 2 bedroom house located in the Natural Park of Faial´s Monte Guia region. An area rich in flora, fauna and unique geological features. Only a short walk up from Casa da Guia are cliffs of eroded coastlines that make up the Baía das Caldeirinhas. A sanctuary for observing many species of birds and sea-life. Directly from this area are walking trails that make up the Circuits of Monte de Guia for amazing views of Porto Pim Bay, Horta City, Pico Island and Sao Jorge Island.
From the house there is a private pathway that leads to the popular, Praia do Porto Pim with golden sand, Blue Flag status that has stunningly beautiful blue calm waters, wonderful to visit anytime of the year.
Even though Casa da Monte Guia is set in an area of peace and tranquility, many places of interest and city conveniences are only a few minutes drive away. . At the base of Mount da Guia is the whale station, Fáabrica da Baleia, the sea centre, Centro do Mar and a restaurant with terrace overlooking the beach. And further down the street is where the Marina is located along with the dive shops, whale watchers, tour guide offices, rent a car offices, quaint cafe´s, good restaurants and the famous Peter´s Cafe.
