Chalet

The new comfortable wooden Veselý Svišť (Cheerful Marmot) Chalet is situated at an altitude of 1,680 meters in the middle of the Lachtal ski resort in Styria. In winter, Veselý Svišť Chalet offers skiers the ideal accommodation in Lachtal directly at the blue 1a ski slope. The chalet is very comfortable especially for families with children, because there is no need for daily commuting by car - you can put on your skis right at the chalet and conveniently ski down to the modern 6-seater chairlift station. In spring, summer and autumn, Lachtal is a great place for a family holiday in the Alps. In addition to the easy ridge hikes, you can go with the children to the generous rope park or the many beautiful outdoor swimming pools and other attractions in the Murtal Valley region. If you bring bikes, we recommend taking a nice trip along the Mur Cycling Path.

The Veselý Svišť Chalet in Lachtal can offer accommodation for 2 families or a group of up to 8 friends. On the ground floor of the chalet there is an open modern kitchen with a large dining table, a living area with a sofa as well as a TV with a DVD player, free WIFI. The pleasant atmosphere is enhanced by the wood burning stove in the middle of the room, so you can have breakfast or dine with radiant heat behind your back. There is access to a terrace from the kitchen with beautiful mountain views. On the terrace there is a table with benches and we prepare the grill for pleasant outdoor dining in the summer. On the ground floor there is also a bathroom with a shower and toilet, a hall with a boot drying rack and a ski storage room with a separate entrance from the outside. Upstairs there are two 4-bed rooms for sleeping and a second bathroom with a bath and toilet. In addition to the wood burning stove, there is modern electric infrared heating in the cottage with the possibility of controlling each heating panel separately. The hot water is heated by an electric boiler. In front of the cottage, there are 4 parking spaces reserved for your comfortable unloading and loading, where you can park your car free of charge for the duration of your stay.

• 4-bed room with a large “quadruple” bed (4 mattresses, total width 360 cm)
• 4-bed room with a double bed, 2 single beds and a balcony

A 5-member family with smaller children can also fit in the room with a large “quadruple” bed. If you bring a baby travel cot, you can place it in any room. If there are more than 8 persons in your party and you can’t fit into the chalet, take a look at our cottage in Hohentauern, which can accommodate up to 12 people.

Kitchen Facilities: The kitchen is equipped with modern AEG and Bosch appliances. You can use a 4-hot plate induction cook top, an electric oven, microwave, kettle, Tchibo capsule coffee machine, refrigerator with a freezer and a dishwasher.
The nearest grocery store with basic groceries is down at the main chairlift station in Lachtal. You will find larger supermarkets in Oberzeiring, Möderbrugg and Oberwölz. You can also order morning bread from the local bakery, which delivers to the cottage.
