Chalet

Chalet Le Houx is a charming chalet in the heart of Meribel Les Allues. It is tucked away so its lovely and quiet but still really close to the restaurants, bars, supermarket, bus stop and bubble that get you to Meribel Chaudanne in no time at all. This chalet has underwent a full renovation in 2018 . The roof has been converted to create a lovely large master bedroom with ensuite bathroom, with separate shower and bath. On the floor below there are 3 more ensuite bedrooms, one large double room, a large twin room and a further twin room thats a bit smaller but still a very good size.

The first floor is very spacious with a lovely light living / dining area with a modern wood burner, and a separate large and well appointed kitchen. as you will see from the photos all the wood is lovely aged antique wood, so the chalet has a nice feel of tradition but also still feels modern .

There is also a boot room with boot warmers and and also a cloakroom thats idea for hanging and drying your ski clothing.

Outside there is a good sized garden for children to play in or to sit out in when its sunny.

This chalet is ideal for two families or a group of friends. Its is also possible to sleep a further child if necessary as we can put another bed in the larger twin room.

Our ‘Top Tip’ is to hire ski lockers in Meribel, the lockers are right underneath one of the main gondolas in Meribel Chaudanne. This means in the morning you can go up to Meribel in your normal shoes, change into you ski equipment and off you go, all very easy. After skiing change back into your shoes and either go home or go for a wander around Meribel, have an apres drink, maybe go swimming or ice skating. We think this is a great option if you have children. The lockers cost 50 euros for the week and can take 3 skis and boots per locker and 70 euros for a x4 locker The room is very well heated and there are heated boot warmers for all the boots in the lockers.
