Chapa is a quiet rural village yet is just a few minutes drive from excellent motorways for exploring this beautiful region of Portugal. The historic market town of Amarante is just 10km distant with its many cafe-bars and restaurants to enjoy. Nearby is an 18 hole golf course, water park and indoor wave pool as well as a number of outdoor pools. Or you may prefer the natural attraction of the nearby river beach where you can swim in the cool, clean waters of the river Tâmega. Also enjoy walks or cycle rides along the newly completed ecotrail, replacing the old train route to Amarante, with spectacular views over the Tâmega vale. Free wi-fi access.
