The Mar da Luz resort is located on the beautufil Porto Dona Maria development which had a great pool side snack bar/restaurant. Within a couple of minutes drive or a 25-30 minute walk are the nearby villages of Burgau and Luz, both have beautiful sandy beaches and numerous bars and restaurants. Luz also has supermarkets, banks and a chemist. There is a wider choice of everything in the nearby town of Lagos (10 minute drive) which also offers historic buildings within the cobbled streets of the old town and a lively marina.
